The three parts of an electromagnet, their uses, and how to increase/decrease their power were discussed.
The beginnings of electromagnetism were introduced, including information on the discoveries of HC Oersted and Michael Faraday.

Marking the Vernal Equinox, we began our discussion on magnetism, including:

• the cause of magnetism
• how magnetic poles are arranged
• the domain theory of magnetism
• Earth's magnetic field
• how magnetic field lines of force are drawn

Section 7.2 was discussed, including the flow of electricity and the qualities that allow for low-resistance electrical flow.
