The Complex Genetics Test Covers:

• Types of inheritance.  Be able to explain the difference between them.  Most importantly, be able to do complex genetics problems.
• Examples of inheritance : sickle-cell, blood-type, hemophilia, red-green colorblindess, etc...
• Gene Linkage - Understand the concept and be able to make linkage maps.
• Blood Types
• Dihybrid Crosses

Go over your worksheets that you did in class and for homework.

In the book, this test covers:

• 6.5 and 6.6
• All of chapter 7

Weds (1/19) - Blood Typing Lab.  HW: Finish Lab Questions and Complex Genetics Part I

Thurs (1/20) - Gene Linkage.  HW: Complex Genetics Part II

Fri. (1/21) - Go Over Complex Genetics and Review for Test HW: STUDY!!!

Mon (1/24) - Test on Complex Genetics

Tues (1/25) - Start Chap 8

There are free review books available on Amazon for Kindle.  You do not need a special device like an iPod Touch unless you have one.  You can use your computer and just download the kindle software.  The books are free until Jan. 17th.  There are books for all types of SAT and A.P. classes.  If you are not taking an AP class, you should download them for classes you plan to take and save some money.

AP/SATII Biology Review Books

We are losing precious time in preparation for the A.P. and EOCT tests.  You should start reading the next chapters in your Biology book, so we can move fast when we return to school. 

AP Bio - Study chapter 19 and 20.  Your quiz will be the day after we return to school.  Read chapter 21 and focus on dolly's cloning and the difference in stem cells.

H. Bio - Study chapter 7 for your test and read chapter 8. Your test on chapter 7 will be next week.  I will announce the time when we return.
