Journal Assignments:Using a collage, create a vast surreal world using either warm or cool colors. There should be some objects in the background. Turn the objects into silhouettes and to make them more detailed, really focus on the outline contours.
- Monday - Formal critique of contour washes using the Feldman 4-step criticism process.
- Tuesday - Introduce Surrealism through power point surrealism.ppt. Do an "exquisite corpse" drawing in class based on surrealist concepts
- Wednesday - Begin 1 point perspective.
- Thursday - Begin a figurative collage using only three human elements focusing on good collaging techniques.
- Friday - Journal Day - Work on the following journal assignment. The assignment will be due next Tuesday, February 17th.

Journal Assignments: Choose a common argument and research both sides (ex - gay marriage, abortion, etc.) Create a 2-page spread - each page should represent one side of the argument. Use collage techniques and layering in your design.
