Monday- Students will be working in their sketchbooks.

Tuesday- Students will be beginning a new painting experimenting with color.

Wednesday-Students work on drawings for underpainting,

Thursday-Outside drawing assignment due: See last weeks Blog post for homework.

Friday- Students continue to work from observation from models

Monday- Students work in darkroom printing Animals and Humans, Humans and Animals.

Tuesday- Introduction to Final Exam 10 print portfolio and proposal.

Wednesday and Thursday- Students work in darkroom, process film or work in sketchbooks.

Friday- Critique on Humans and Animals, Animals and Humans.

In class/studio assignment: Students will be working on Symbolic self portrait Photo - see assignment sheet: Symbolic Self Portrait Handout.doc

• Monday: Group 1 in darkroom ~ Introduce Collage assignment:                                ( Large Scale Photo Collage LP.doc) along with journal prompt - brainstorm for photo collage in your journal - come up with 4 ideas in thumbnail sketch form.  Choose your best composition and create a smaller version in your journal. Journal page due: 4/24
• Tuesday: Group 1 in darkroom ~ Introduce next photo assignment through power point presentation - Experimental Photos.ppt  Students will research and brainstorm ideas for next assignment through completion of 2 page spread in journal - Journal page due: 4/24 
• Wednesday: Group 2 in darkroom ~ Other groups working on journal pages
• Thursday: Group 2 in darkroom ~ Other groups working on journal pages
• Friday: Group 3 in darkroom ~ Other groups working on journal pages

Monday-Friday students will be processing film for assignment Animals and Humans, Humans and Animals.  Students will also be working in the darkroom printing for the critique on Animals and Humans, Humans and Animals.

Critique on Friday April 24th.  Two prints.

10 hand made AP Art Breakfast invitations due April 30th. Make sure you include all the information May 5th from 7:30-8:30 am.

Monday-Friday students will be working from the model experimenting with media.

This week we will be working on a few homework assigments.

Assignment 1: Due date April 30

Using ink, penicl or vine charcoal please draw your hands using accented line and crosscontour lines in five different positions and an intergrated composition.  Use careful observation skills and work slowly.

Think about composition and use of space.  These drawings should be 16x20.  Please use beautiful craftmanship, no folding of paper etc...

Assignment 2: Due May 14

.Same assignment, but this time use your feet.

Assignment 3: Due the day of the Exam

A drawing in Foreshortening.  Draw your hand/shoulder in mirror 3 times.
