Panarama is due Friday for the critique.
New sketchbook assignment: Solarization 3 two page spreads. 1 on the history, 2 two page spreads on artists due Friday March 26.
Cyano Types are due March 31 for a critique
3 Solarized prints are due March 26
Students will be working on Collagraph sketchbook Due Tuesday March 23
Create 1 two page spread on the history of Collagraphs be sure to include several examples printed from the internet, 1 two page spread researching 3 collagraph artists you like, please include images from the interenet and a brief description of the work and what you learned about the artist, 1 two page spread on your own ideas. Please include drawings and ideas.
Collagraph assignmet: Create a 12 inch by 12 inch collagraph that is abstract in nature. Make sure you are using the elements and prinicples to create your image. Please see the powerpoint for examples. COLLAGRAPHS.ppt
We will begin building our plates next week. Drawiings will be due next week as well.
I will be introducing oil painting this week all week.
Today we gessoed boards and will beginning value scales tomorrow through Friday.
I graded sketchbooks today and the new cardboard sketchbook assignment is on the blog. Please make sure you have a glass jar with a lid and an old tee shirt for tomorrow.

Due date for critique: Monday March 22
Monday-Thursday
Students will be finishing up their lino prints in the studio. We will be critiquing the prints on Thursday.
We will have a power point on Collagraphs on Monday and beginning our sketchbook assignment on Tuesday.

Students will be working in the darkroom on Panarama and Cyanotypes.

Students will be working on their drawings inspired by Jim Dine using tools at their subject matter. The drawings are due Thursday with the sketchbook assignment on interior.
