Your abstract paintings are due Friday for a critique.
You will begin your exploration of a series of 3 pieces based on an idea you come up with yourself.
We will be looking at examples on Monday.
Sketchbook assignment; 2 page spread on your ideas for the next 3 pieces in a series. You will need printed out examples of your idea as well as 3 thumbnail sketches.One for each idea. How will these pieces relate? By theme? By media or subject? Due date is Wednesday April 20.
This week you will be working on your abstract paintings and turning in your Memory Portraits along with your $15 check made out to The Memory Portraits.
Both pieces are due Friday April 1. Thursday your portrait is due, we will be taking your photos for the children so be ready.
This week you will be selecting one of your finished abstract pieces to begin the final paintings.
You will be working on thumbnail sketches for these paintings this week. Your final working drawing will be due Tuesday and counted as a sketchbook assignment. We will begin construction of convas or masonite panels starting on Wednesday. The final paintings are due Friday March 25th.
Monday-Wednesday you will finishing up your Memory Portraits. They are due with your $15 donation on Wednesday.
Thursday we will be having a powerpoint presentation about Abstract Painting. You will recieve a new sketchbook assignment.
Friday we will begin our Micro Labs for Abstract Painting.
This week you will be completing your portraits for The Memory Project they are due on Monday Feb. 28.
I will be collecting your redo self portraits this week for a new grade. I will not take them after Friday of this week.
New sketchbook assignment due Wednesday March 2.
Create a two page spread using the hand out you get from the sub on Tuesday select 3 artists. Print out 2 images from each artist. Write your comments about each artists work. What do you like about each image? What feelings or ideas do you get from these images. What is the art about according to the artist. You should include an interesting background that will compliment the material you are discussing.
This week you are working on Concentration. You will have two concentration due Friday Feb. 11th.
