I will be introducing oil painting this week all week.
Today we gessoed boards and will beginning value scales tomorrow through Friday.
I graded sketchbooks today and the new cardboard sketchbook assignment is on the blog. Please make sure you have a glass jar with a lid and an old tee shirt for tomorrow.

Monday-Thursday
Students will be working on their drawings inspired by Jim Dine using tools at their subject matter. The drawings are due Thursday with the sketchbook assignment on interior.
Below is an example of what we have been working on in class. Abstract powdered graphite drawings.
Students will be completing the still lifes and turning them in on Tuesday. We will be having a critique on Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday we will be working on an expressive drawing about mark making due at the end of class on Friday.
Sketchbook assignment: Psycological Space due next Thursday.
