This week student will be working from observation painting a small still life of bottles in oil.

- Monday: Critique on Black and White Charcoal Assignment
- Tuesday: We will begin Gessoing boards and canvas for painting. You will also need to bring in a few materials: small jar with lid, an old tshirt, any brushes you have.
- Wednesday: We will begin our painting excercises
- Thursday: Painting
- Friday: Painting
In your sketchbooks you should be doing research on the list of painters I gave you. Decide who you like in terms of markmaking and technique. You should also be researching The Seven Deadly Sins. Decide what sin you want to do your painting on. Start doing thumbnails. Due Wednesday Sept. 23
Students will be working on their expressive charcoal pieces. We will be having our first critique on Monday Sept. 14
Students will be working on their expressive charcoal drawings in the studio.
