This week you will be working in the darkroom and making prints for our critique on Friday on Lighting. We will also have a critique on your Color homework prints on Monday May 2.

From now until the end of school you will be working on your 3 piece body of work. All three pieces are due Friday May 20th.

You should have the image from which you will be working from for your perspective unit.

You will be beginning today. Please make sure you have the Style from which you will be working from wih you.

The finished piece is due Friday May 6th when you walk into class. We will be having a critique on your drawings.

We will begin our unit on Gesture Monday May 9th.

This week you should be matting your 5 quality pieces to have them ready for the AP Breakfast on Friday the 29th.

You need to be shooting your work and uploading your images to the AP Website. All uploading is due by May 3rd.

Monday- Turn in your redo Quiz on Etching and work on finishing value scales and sphere using cross hatching and hatching due Tuesday.

Tuesday- work on drawing an object from observation or a photo using cross hatching and hatching due Wednesday.

Wednesday-Friday work on your thumbnail sketches for Etching. You will need 3.

This week you will be processing and printing your self portraits. Sketchbooks are due Thursday on Color and we will have a crituque on Self portraits on Monday April 18th when you walk into class.

Your abstract paintings are due Friday for a critique.

You will begin your exploration of a series of  3 pieces based on an idea you come up with yourself.

We will be looking at examples on Monday.

Sketchbook assignment; 2 page spread on your ideas for the next 3 pieces in a series. You will need printed out examples of your idea as well as 3 thumbnail sketches.One for each idea. How will these pieces relate? By theme? By media or subject? Due date is Wednesday April 20.

This week you will complete your color oil pastel or acyrlic paintings. If you need to take it home Thursday night to finish you may. All Paintings are due for our critique Friday.

Monday we will beginning our unit on Visual Perspective Drawing; Representing Depth in A Picture Plane.

Homework: Read Chapter 6 The Formal Elements: Perspective in Drawing as Expression

Answer the following questions attached to the document:

Perspective Questions.doc These questions are due Monday April 18th.

Sketchbook Assignment:

Find examples of the following from magazines: 1 point persective, two point persepective, 3 point perspective, foreshortening and atmospheric perspective. DO NOT PRINT OUT IMAGES FROM THE INTERNET. IF YOU DO THEY WILL BE COUNTED WRONG. YOU MAY ONLY USE MAGAZINES. Please label each example. DUE DATE IS WEDNESDAY APRIL 20.
