Monday: Working in Journals - HW: Bring an interesting object to draw, pick one that has negative space

Tuesday: Begin Contour Line Drawing of your object - draw 2-3 times

Wednesday: Demo gesso wash on negative space of drawing, draw object 2-3 times being sure to overlap previous contours.

Thursday: Continue working on Contour Drawings

Friday: Finish Contour Drawings and VVJs - VVJs due at the end of the period
Visual Verbal Journal Assignment: You are going to create a "window" on a blank sheet of paper. This will be your viewfinder - you are literally going to "find your view" using this paper. Move your viewfinder around your image until you find the portion you want to recreate. Using collage or paint, recreate the view you chose (the WHOLE part of what you see in your viewfinder). Once you recreate that part, put away your image of Fish's work, and elaborate from that (create more of the design in your own original way but still keep with the same idea or "look") Finally, you will add written sections about the artist and whether you like or dislike the artwork - you HAVE TO also give reasons why you like it or why you do not like it.
