Essential Question: What is a contour line drawing?

Monday:  Watch blublu.org videos to use as inspiration for upcoming assignment
Tuesday:  Begin by completing a predrawing of hands -- Discuss contour line, drawing on the right side of the brain, and perception
HW:  Complete patterns page in sketchbook - due Thursday
Wednesday: Demo on blind contour line drawing - Students will begin by completing blind contour line drawings working their way to 10/90 drawings
Thursday:  Continue practicing contour line - incorporate pattern into drawings
Friday:  Begin coming up with at least 6 thumbnail sketches incorporating your contour line drawings of hands and patterns.

Essential Question: How and Why do Artists use Sketchbooks?

Monday: Quiz on Elements of Art and Principles of Design - Finish Elements and Principles search.

Tuesday: View power point on Sketchbooks and discuss how they will be used in this class.

Tuesday/26^th : Working on sketchbook page and plans for recycled sculpture

Wednesday/27^th : Working on sketchbook page and plans for recycled sculpture- plans due today

Thursday/28^th : Working in sketchbooks

Friday/29^th : working in sketcbooks

 

Monday/2^nd  - Friday/6th: working on recycled sculpture - due Friday

 

Monday/9^th: View value powerpoint - demo on value scales - begin value scales
