Summer Programs for Underclass Students:

            The following schools/organizations have sent us information on summer enrichment programs for 9th -11th grade students.

 

Clemson University - C-CATS ~Challenge for Academically Talented 9th and 10th grade students.  Please let Mrs. Alford know by December 4th if you are interested in participating.

Vanderbilt University - Summer PAVE Program for rising junior students.  Contact Vanderbilt by November 25th, 2009 to have information sent directly to you.

 Sawnee EMC - Washington Your Tour June 10-17, 2010 - Application materials are in the College and Career Center and are due to Sawnee EMC by 5pm on January 29, 2010.  Must be 16 years old by June 1, 2010 to participate.

REDUCE YOUR TEST STRESS!!!

 Chattahoochee High School Classes

 1. Weekend Classes - Tuition: $450

This course consists of 18 hours of classroom instruction and 3 practice exams.

This course is great for students who can study more on their own and don't need as much "face time" with a teacher. There is bit more homework and independent study involved with this class.

 2. After School Classes - Tuition: $550

This course consists of 24 hours of instruction and 3 practice exams.

- After school classes are offered all year from 4-7pm. 8, 3-hour sessions and 3 practice exams

- This course offers more time with the instructor. This is great for students who want more interaction with an instructor. There is a bit less homework involved.

Use ACT Essay View to access images of the essays written in response to the ACT Writing Test.

  • The service is available to participating high schools and colleges.
  • Authorized staff can review essays written by students who have released their ACT Writing scores to your school.
  • Essays are accessible for up to one year after the examinee's high school graduation.
  • You may view the essays online, print them immediately, or save the images for future access.

Through an ongoing collaboration between the Georgia Department of Education, providers of all funding for this initiative, and the College Board, makers of the SAT, every high school student in the state can use The Official SAT Online Course™ for FREE.

The Official SAT Online Course features:

  • 18 lessons with interactive activities and multimedia content
  • 10 practice tests and more than 600 practice questions just like the ones students will see on test day
  • Personalized score reports and detailed answer explanations to help students understand where to focus additional study
  • Auto essay scoring with immediate feedback
  • Student-, class-, school- and district-level reports to follow students' progress

Need help finding your College Major?  Try  MyMajors.com.

·        Now, all you have to do is access the website, MyMajors.com and click "I'm New".  This will start your assessment.

·        When you finish, there is a link to "Generate Advisement Report", enter their subscription "access code" (see below for the code).  Once you input our code, you will receive their Top 10 Ranked Majors, and the Advisement Report.
