Did you attend the Governor's School program?

|

Dear Governor's School Director:

I hope this email finds you well.  My name is Neisha McGuckin and I work with the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Scholarship Program at CIEE, the Council on International Educational Exchange.  I would like to let you know that students who recently attended your state Governor's School program may be eligible to apply for the Congress-Bundestag Program.  Each year, CIEE sends 50 highly qualified American high school students from the Southeast US on a full scholarship to live and study in Germany for the 2009-2010 school year.  We want to make sure that Governor's School students are aware of this merit-based scholarship, funded by the German and American governments and available to American students between the ages of 15 and 18.  Also, it is important to note that German language skills are not required for acceptance to the program.

Please share the attached Quick Facts Sheet with students and teachers who you think might be interested in the Congress-Bundestag Program.  Also, you can visit www.ciee.org/cb or www.usagermanyscholarship.org to download the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Application.  It can be completed online and then e-mailed to CIEE at cb@ciee.org.

Please note that the application deadline is December 16, 2008.

If you have any questions or know of any students who you think would thrive in this program, please email me at cb@ciee.org.

We wish you much success in the year ahead!

Kind regards,
Neisha McGuckin
