EXTENDED DEADLINE!! The Gate City Bar, in conjunction with the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and the Dekalb Lawyers Association, announces its Martin Luther King, Jr. Drum Major for Justice Essay & Oratorical Competition for High School Seniors. The competition will be held on May 1st. Applications and essays are due by May 1st. The winner of the competition will have the opportunity to shadow a Judge or lawyer for a day and advance to the National Bar Association's Regional Competition on June 5th in The Regional winner will receive a $1,000 book prize and a 3 day/2 night trip (includes airfare & hotel for winner and a chaperone) to the NBA convention in The National winners receive the following one-time scholarships: 1st place :$2,500 scholarship 2nd place $2,000 scholarship 3rd place $1,500 scholarship |
