GSU Summer Leadership Academy

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Georgia State University is excited to announce the third annual Summer Leadership Academy.  The Summer Leadership Academy is an engaging opportunity to promote leadership skills and college preparation for rising high school freshmen and sophomores. 

            The Summer Leadership Academy will focus on the following topics: 

·       Preparing & developing high school success

·       Becoming a leader in high school

·       College admission and preparation

·       Student perspectives on college life

·       Personality & career assessment

·       Public speaking & professional etiquette

Chattahoochee can nominate three outstanding students to participate.    In order to be considered, candidates must complete and submit an application by Monday, May 17th to be considered.  If you are selected, GSU will review all submissions and forty students will be selected to participate.  Students and their families will receive additional information regarding permission, registration and directions.

 The Summer Leadership Academy is free of charge and will take place on the Georgia State University campus in Atlanta, Georgia.  The program will be held on June 22nd and 23rd, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 22nd and from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23rd.
