All other groups working on sketchbook and digital assignments
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: Group 1 learning how to work pinhole camera - taking pictures of line and texture - all other groups working on sketchbook assignment and digital assignment
Sketchbook: Create a comic strip on the photogram process
Digital work: Research self portraits that have done by other artists - choose one that you like the most - first complete a one page spread on the artist and include image of their self portrait(s) - also reflect on how you can do a self portrait that is similar but also your own.
Monday: Presidents Day Holiday - No School for students
Tuesday and Wednesday: Group 3 learning darkroom and how to make a photogram
All other groups working in sketchbook on 3-4 page History of Photo timeline
Thursday and Friday: Group 4 learning darkroom and how to make a photogram
All other groups working in sketchbook on 3-4 page History of Photo timeline - Due Friday for all groups
Essential Question: How has Photography impacted society?
Monday: Working on decorating their pinhole camera OR the following sketchbook page:
Create a 4 page spread in sketchbook: Brainstorm and think about how Photography impacts society. How would it be different if there was no such thing as a camera? How would you know about past history if there were not image? For each of the 4 pages, illustrate and verbalize 4 different ways photography has impacted society.
(For example - photography impacts the way we see beauty -- images in glamor magazines and of famous people make us want to look a certain way.)
