Pinhole Camera:  EQ: How do you use your pinhole camera to create a photo?

Your main focus is to take 2 photos to turn in.  They need to be well exposed (blacks, whites and a variety of grays), clear, and have an interesting and creative composition.  Photo #1 should emphasize Texture Photo #2 should emphasize Line

Digital Images:  EQ: How can you create an original self portrait that shows a little about you and is inspired by researched artist?

You need to complete your self portrait that is inspired by an artist and also compete the photography scavenger hunt.  Your self portrait needs to be printed in color (if it is a color image) and turned in - your scavenger hunt may be turned in digitally either on a disk or flash drive.

Sketchbook: How are Berenice Abbott and Imogen Cunningham similar and different?

Complete a 2 page spread - Compare and contrast the following photographers: Berenice Abbott (pgs 2-9) and Imogen Cunningham(pgs2-9)

First read information in "Art & Man" magazines.  In your sketchbook page, compare and contrast the following information:

            - the photographers style of photographs

            - topic or meaning behind work

            - artistic background

            - influences

            - visual similarities and differences

Print a couple of images of each of their work - paste in sketchbook and include info above

Photobook: EQ:  How can you create an original design for a photobook to hold your pinhole photos?

Research an idea for a photobook to hold your pinhole photos - Create a plan in your sketchbook that includes directions, a materials list, and size dimensions.  Once you have collected all of your materials - make it!  Remember when deciding on size, the photo paper we use is 5 inches x 7 inches.
