Looking at your Rough Drafts, many of you have lost sight of the assignment.  Here I have re-posted the Rubric that I will be grading you on.  PLEASE look at it, and be sure that your paper fits it:

Common Mistakes on the Research Paper Rough Drafts

·        No in-text citations (any paraphrasing, or information that you got from an outside source MUST me cited within the paper!!!)  Remember, you are required to have 9 quotes in all... if you've forgotten, see the MLA citation page on the BLOG.

·        No Clear Thesis Statement

·        No References or quotes from The  Crucible

·        No Title

·        Not Following the Rubric!!! (I have given you the rubric that I will be using to grade your papers; please adhere to this.)

·        Punctuation in in-text citations (you WILL BE penalized for not using the proper punctuation techniques in your citations... refer to the MLA guide for these techniques)

·        Incorrectly done works cited pages (points WILL BE deducted for all errors [small or large] made on this page)  See MLA page for proper format
