12th Grade Global Awareness Project Due: March 16th 2011

Deadlines:

The class will have a specific deadline to show what work you have accomplished for the project. The work provided at those deadlines will be homework grades for the class. 

We will spend March 9th, 10th, and 14th in the Computer Labs.

March 8th                           Students choose a topic. Topic must be a world issue and may not only pertain to the US. (We have the final say on approving a topic)

March 11th                         Initial written outline of topic in section form and two sources that will be used for the research component of the power point

March 16th                         Presentations to the class begin. Copy of power point and subtext is due on the day of presentation.

 

Power Point Requirements

 

1.        8-10 slides including your introductory slide, concluding slide and a woks cited slide

2.        Presentations should be roughly 5 minuets.

3.        You must include at least 4-5 bullet points of information on each slide!

4.        Presentation must be animated and have transitions

5.        Your slides must be professional looking, grammatically correct, and informative!

6.        ALL SOURCES MUST BE CITED on the bottom of the slide.  (authors last name, title of article)

7.        Use proper public speaking techniques, voice projection, eye-contact, posture when presenting.  Make sure you do not read word for word from the slides, talk to the audience about your topic.
