2010 Spring Atlanta National College Fair 

Students may apply for admission now, and we need high school transcripts and SAT or ACT scores sent to our office!  You can find our online admission application here.

Excellence in Leadership Award

The deadline for our Excellence in Leadership Award is this Friday (January 15).  Amounts of the award vary based on each student's criteria and interview that will take place on Leadership Day (exact date in February; to be announced). Requirements for this scholarship are:

ü      Must be unconditionally admitted to TROY by the deadline

ü      3.0 GPA and 22 ACT (Composite of four core sections) or 1030 SAT (Critical Reading + Math)

ü      Must submit the online scholarship application by the deadline

ü      Must submit a resume by mail, postmarked by the deadline, or by fax (334-670-3733), received in our office by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on the deadline

When evaluating test scores for awarding scholarships, we "superscore" or "stack" subscores of multiple attempts of the same test.

TROY Tours and Trojan Day

The Spring will be filled with opportunities for your students to come visit our campus!  Remember that we give personal campus tours to students and their families, as well as small groups and counselors, on weekdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (Central Time).  We also have some Saturdays this semester available for visits:

• TROY Tours: January 23, February 20, and April 17
• Trojan Day: March 27

Georgia Southwestern:

Freshmen Scholarship opportunities include the University Honors Program, Academic Leadership scholarships (both due by February 15), Goizuetta Latino Student Scholarship (due May 15^th) and the John and Betty Pope Fellowship in Caregiving.  For more information stop by the College & Career Center.

New in 2010 - Professional Golf Management Program - prepares students to manage all aspects of a golf course, to obtain the Class A PGA license, 6 months of full-time internships requires and available a coursed throughout the southeast, receive a AACSB accredited Bachelors Degree of Business Administration in Professional Golf Management.

Ryan Boslet Scholarship

Will be awarded to a class of 2010 Chattahoochee High School Varsity letterman (male or female) who exemplifies outstanding character, high integrity and a strong sense of team spirit that were such positive attributes of Ryan Boslet.  The student athlete needs to excel academically in addition to demonstrating the "heart of a champion" characteristics in varsity athletic competition.

Applications are only available in the College & Career Center and must be returned to Mrs. Alford no later than April 23, 2010.  Late applications will not be accepted.  The winner will be announced at CHS Commencement Ceremony and the $2000 award will be sent directly to the scholarship winner's college or university.

Mothers & Daughters Against Breast Cancer Scholarship

Applicants must be a female student who seeks higher education from a college, university or vocational-technical school with a minimum GPA of 2.75/4.0 and be a cancer survivor or diagnosed with cancer.

Applications and information are available in the College & Career Center and are due by February 15, 2010

Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation

Offers about 150 scholarships for deserving US and International students who meet the criteria of individual endowments.  Applications are review and processed by the State Counselor and a Regional Scholarship Committee with a final review by the Scholarship Coordinators who submit them for judging to judges throughout the US.  For more information, packets are available in the College & Career Center or on line at www.esaintl.com/esaf.  Click on Scholarship Application on the left sidebar.  Due February 1, 2010

2010 Alice Dodd Scholarship for Outstanding Community Service

2010 Bobby Dodd Scholarship for Outstanding Community Service - Awarded to a Physically Challenged Student

These scholarships area offered by the Georgia District Civitan Foundation and were created to honor the late Alice and Bobby Dodd for their many years of dedication to community service and genuine love for other people.  Application packets are available in the College & Career Center and must be post marked by January 31, 2011.

Roswell Woman's Club

gives annual scholarships to graduating seniors who intend to register in a full time course of study at a college, university, technical or vocational school for the 2010-2011 academic year.  The application is available in the College & Career Center and is also available at 'About Us' on our website - www.roswellwomansclub.org.  Our organization raises funds for these scholarships at our annual Showcase Home Tour which takes place from March 4 through March 28 of this year.
 
Scholarship applications are due to Mrs. Alford in the College & Career Center no later than Thursday, February 18^th.  Late applications will not be accepted.  Chattahoochee High School has had a scholarship awarded to one of its students for the past three years.

Shell Oil

Technical Scholarship and Minority Scholarship

Shell sponsors up to 20 one year awards of $2500 for graduating high school seniors enrolling in engineering or geosciences fields at universities identified by Shell.  This year's schools include:

Colorado School of Mines, Ohio State, University of Colorado-Boulder, Cornell, Pennsylvania State University - University Park, University of Houston, Florida A&M University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, University of Oklahoma - -Norman, University of Texas-Austin, University of Texas-El Paso, Purdue University-West Lafayette, Rice University, Stanford University, Texas A&M University - College Station, Georgia Institute of Technology, Louisiana State University - Baton Rouge, Massachusetts Institute of Technology,  Michigan State University, North Carolina A&T University.

Applications and supporting materials must be received at the address provided on the application no later than February 16, 2010.  Applications are available in the College & Career Center.

Gene Henson Scholarship Program

Is seeking two nominees from the senior class who plan to attend one of Georgia's accredited higher learning institutions.  Please sign up in the Counseling Office to receive essay questions and more information.  Packets are due to Mrs. Alford no later than February 26^th.  Late packets will not be accepted.

Zinch.com, the company connecting young people to academic opportunities, is hosting its 3rd Annual Sweet-diggity-dawg $20k Scholarship.

The Sweet-diggity-dawg Scholarship is one of the most exciting scholarships offered to students today.

Each year, Zinch selects the semi-finalists based on their Zinch profile. Semi-finalists then compete, March-Madness style, in a bracket of 64 students. These students go head-to-head, with the best Zinch profile advancing, until one student remains to claim the $20k prize.

Students who wish to compete must meet the following guidelines:

1. Be a current high school student (c/o 2010-2013)
2. With a minimum 2.0 GPA
3. And have a Zinch.com profile
